Daytona 500 Qualifying day, Saturday, February 10, 2001.........
with the dust settled and the roar of 700 HP motors silenced, Bill Elliott in the Evernham/Elliott Dodge Dealers of America/UAW sponsered # 9 Dodge Intrepid R/T sat on the pole position for the annual running of the Great American Race!
It is a sad day in our family tonight (2/18/2001) with the news of the death of one of NASCAR's greatest drivers. He was the favorite of many racing fans, including my wife. Dale Earnhardt, you will be missed by so many.
God Bless and watch over you and your family in their time of grief.
